Purple fringing in some 360 cameras (such as Theta S) is so irritating - silhouette of lamp poles, leaves, and border of buildings in colour purple. For Android phone user, "painting" the purple to grey (use Effect> Colour> lower saturation there with a brush tool - Photo Editor, Macgyver), as if shadows in back light, is a resonable method, but too tedious.
Pepe Vazquez of Ricoh Theta User Group introduced us the ability of Photo Mate R3 in suppressing the saturation of colour purple for purple fringing. I think it works.

I like this app because it works, and it can be called out by sharing function of photos directly in photo browser and in photo editors. It can output 100% JPG and metadata (except 360) is retained. It has many develope (edit) functions you may expected. Here I only concentrate on purple fringing.
I have a 360 photo with purple fringing at the silhouette of the vine frames.
The photo was shared to Photo Mate R3 and "developed" (edited)
Scroll down the adjustments there is colour satuation sliders. Instead of basic cokours, it had a slider for purple
Slide purple to 0 and the purpke fringing becomes grey. Sometimes the magenta and blue also need to be suppressed. The photo yes will become more dull at the sky. Increasing the magenta and blue may heal it, you can see the result on preview and fine tune. Raising the Vibrance has similar effect.
Here I use Share instead of save as the 360 metadata needs to be injected back, and Share can choose 100% JPG, (and remembers it). In the work flow, the photo is usually shared to Theta Converta Pro toturn up nadir for patching, or for leveling. If leveling not required, share it to 'Meta 360: Photosphere XMP Tagger'.
